When announcing the schools White Paper, The Importance of Teaching, the Education Secretary Michael Gove´s statement placed the focus firmly onto traditional school values.

No doubt there will be many who agree and probably more who will disagree with Mr. Gove´s statement and the contents of the White paper. Whatever the outcome, let´s not forget the one-in-ten pupils who have a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia.

At secondary school one of the main ways in which dyslexia manifests itself is in poor spelling. Many of these pupils are extremely able in other areas and need to have the right sort of support in school so that they are able to show their abilities in written exams.

"Spellzone fits in beautifully with our Scope and Sequence of Phonological Awareness and Spelling. It also aligns perfectly with the four areas of spelling knowledge and uses the Brain, Ears, Eyes approach to learning spelling."
Thank you!
