The spouse is often in what feels like a chaotic environment during the funeral and while she may appreciate having the photos at that time, she also needs to keep track of them too while moving from the funeral home or church to the cemetery and luncheon, etc.

For this reason, it is better to give her the photos after the funeral when there are not so many immediate demands on her attention as well as the need to be in certain places at certain times. You could tell her about the photos now, and let her know you will get them to her within the next few days or so.
