It is great that your son wants her to attend, but you must also consider your ex-wife’s family as well. Would her (your ex) family be okay with your present wife attending her funeral?

If you have any doubts at all when answering that question, then your present wife should not attend. The last thing you want to happen is for a member of your ex-wife’s family to be upset by the presence of your current wife. I am sure you will make the right decision, just make sure you give proper consideration to all your ex-wife’s family, and not just your son.
